Allow me to introduce myself, a chartered\u00a0 fellow of the Institute of Librarians and Director for Learning Development\u00a0 and Research I have responsibility for the strategic direction and development of learning in relation to technology, libraries and learning resources across Bradford College. I also manage 4 Learning Resource Centres, Central Media Services and ICT Open Access Workshops within Bradford College.<br \/>\nIn addition I have a remit to develop and extend the research profile of the college and to develop knowledge transfer opportunites nationally and internationally on behalf of the college.<br \/>\nI set up this blog in November 2007 as a means of communication with staff, students and other interested parties. Back then my\u00a0 intention was to post little but often -however that has not always been possible due to other demands on my time.
